“Our Square hole cutter with built in dust guard, ensures much less dust is created than traditional methods”
We recently carried out Electrical Rewires in Alwoodley area of Leeds, and the house remained occupied during the time the work was done. This is a common scenario in Leeds, the owner had no storage and other place to go to, so we had to plan the electrical rewires around this limitation.
Electrical rewires are a disruptive job, if anyone should claim otherwise then this simply is not true. Channeling out of walls is usually required, for both cabling and accessories. Many houses in Alwoodley and other areas of Leeds are of the construction whereby new cable cannot be pulled through existing conduit, capping or trunking systems, although there are some exceptions.
For cleanliness, plastic overshoes are worn over boots, sticky (but easily removed) strong plastic liner is placed over the carpets, and dust sheets (plastic backed, not plain sheets!) are used over furniture.
In the image above, you can see that our special square hole cutter is used to accurately cut out walls (Whether solid brick or softer breeze blocks). The cutter is accurate, especially when used in conjunction with a laser level, and metal backboxes will then fit neatly into these square holes, minimising cost of plastering that traditional methods would cause.
However with the nature of channeling, the fine particles stay airborn for many hours and are easily transferred, and so some light covering occur. So at the end of the job, we can also arrange a professional, dedicated cleaning company came to carry out a deep spring clean of the property.
