Over the years I have noticed a pattern with Electrical issues at Xmas time.
These THREE simple steps can help you to ensure that you won’t be needing to pay a huge callout or worrying about any electrical safety issues at Christmas time:
1. Try the oven with all settings on (Xmas is that time when all are used together, and many people discover too late, that the rating of protection for the oven is not sufficient for it’s full use) and end up with cold turkey!
2. Enough sockets for your trees, decorations, kids new electronic toys and guests to use. Again the overloading of circuits is common at this time of year, and people get nuisance tripping (or even worse – overheating) occuring during these times. We can have a quick peek for you (assuming you are based in our coverage area) to let you know if you are likely to stumble across this issue or not, so that you are not missing that Eastender’s Xmas special or the Queen’s speech.
3. Checking the outside lights to ensure they come on, and if they are likely to last the cold weather. The Halogen lamps will be the weaker lamps and first to fail, and those that have switched to LED (which this year is at surprisingly low cost) will be getting the rewards not only in cheaper running costs for the same level of light, but massively increased lifespan that can withstand the cold temperatures too. So switch on and don’t be left in the dark this Xmas.
Of course, time is running out as we are busy serving others, but if you call us today, we still have some availability left this side of Xmas.
