The Electrical Regulations (BS7671) keep changing and so this means that if your Fuseboard is even just a few years old, it will have been superseded. While this is not necessarily dangerous (and don't listen to anyone who uses the word "illegal"!), it just means that things have been improved to give additional protection. ALSO we ensure that your existing circuits are verified first (this is similar to the checks carried out in Electrical Installation Condition Reports ). 

HOWEVER there are "Electricians" out there that will swap a board over without first doing the necessary checks! The problem with this is that while it "appears" to be a cheaper job, in practise it can mean that you will be left sitting in the dark, as the board is not compatible with your old circuits, and therefore keeps tripping, At S Barker Electrical Ltd, we want you to have a long lasting installation that keeps working effectively.
